Behind the beans
Fazenda Paraiso is located in the traditional coffee-growing district of Cabo Verde, Brazil. The region presents ideal conditions for coffee production, such as a climate with well-defined seasons, low humidity and favourable temperatures. This coffee is a modern classic - tasting of chocolate, caramelised pecans and raisins. Its great for both filter and espresso; an easy drinking brew for any occasion.
Origin: Fazenda Paraiso, Cabo Verde, Brazil
Owned by producer and agronomist Guy Carvalho, the approach at Fazenda Paraiso is quality driven. Guy has a large presence in the industry, having his own YouTube channel with which he helps train and troubleshoot coffee farmers across a large swathe of central and South America. He is a big proponent of letting the land be the land - encouraging and working with the native trees and plants that grow on the farm. Viewing them as helping the earth perform as it should - working with nature rather than try to control it.
